Performance > skinship (2017)

A performance piece lasting one hour in which the artist stood silently in a doorway while visitors to the gallery could approach and touch cheeks with hers for their desired duration.

"Skinship" is a Korean and Japanese concept of familial or platonic intimacy through physical contact. When not familial, it is typically practiced as a same-sex activity that reinforces gender group identification and closeness.
